BOTH the girls are sleeping over tonight. Can you believe it? No, you probably can't but it's true. Say a prayer
that they don't call at some ungodly hour and asked to be picked up. No seriously, stop and say a prayer. Thank
you. It was the PERFECT opportunity for Mark and I to get a babysitter for John M. and go out on the town.
Right?
Yes.
But here I sit at the computer blogging while Mark watches TV and enjoys a gourmet Sonic burger and cheese
sticks.
We are officially Maw-Maw and Paw-Paw Daig, the biggest sticks-in-the-mud. Ever. How old are we? About
85?
One day, we'll get our party on. Or at least go out to eat at Shoney's.
Peace out.

Sounds alot like us most weekends.
We did meet some friends for dinner out tonight but that's all our night consisted of. We were home by 8:15 and that was AFTER we picked up the baby from the sitter.
If you're 85, then that makes me 79.
And that's exactly how old I'm feeling right now the way my muscle ache from my 2 days in a row at the gym!
LOL that is us too, what do you want to do? I don't know what do you want to do? and so on and so on
wow, you sound like my dh and I. Home and in seperate rooms doing mundane stuff when we could be out livin it up. sigh.
You are too funny. Yeah, we aren't much of the going out type either. But who say's you have to go OUT to get your party on? lol!
Hope the girls make it.
Shoney's! I remember visiting my mom when she lived in Tennessee and her taking me out to Shoney's. It was the nicest restaurant in town, but of course I was a total food snob back then. Now (with kids) our favorite restaurant is Red Robin. Burgers and Balloons, Oh Boy!
Hope the sleepovers go according to plan!
In the same boat, here at home with three 13 year olds, was thinking about going out and having them babysit. We took too long trying to figure out where we want to go that here we sit, at home, watching tv with the boys. I think its some disney movie.
Real party'ers eh?? Ya, I know, I give you all my secret later.
Opps, go to go change a diaper.
hey renee! totally laughing at your post! glad to know we aren't the only ones! boy oh boy did jim and i find out quick that having a baby turns your dating life around! :) i wouldn't trade it for anything... just noticably different life stlye !! -tara
Watch out, your evening sounded like most of Greg and my evenings. It's a scary fact to know that my retired mother is having more fun than I am every night. Scary indeed!
Well? Why don't you go shut off the TV, kick Mark in the ass, and drag him out? After you picked up the babysitter. Or just bring the baby!
That's about what Jason and I would be doing too!
