Santa's visit 2004

I just found this photo of this picture from last year's Christmas. It was a note that 'S.C.' left for the girls on our dry erase board. I look at the handwriting and wonder how in the world they didn't know it was me. It looks just like the way I normally write. I guess they're so sure it's Santa, that it being anyone else writing it would be out of the question.

I always leave a little cookie and milk remainder. I'm not sure why. Do you do the same? I mean, he must be so full from eating cookies at all of the other houses . . he couldn't possibly eat the whole thing, right?! And reindeer food, we usually leave that too. Every year, the girls make this at school and they make sure I don't forget the reindeer on Christmas Eve. That food probably stays on the ground all of 15 seconds before being gobbled up by Nala, the golden retriever 'pig' next door.

I can't believe Christmas is just a few days away. Break out the reindeer food and let's party.

I remember when I used to write a note to the kids from Santa and the Easter Bunny. I fooled them with Santa, but then that next Easter, Heather said, "Mom, the Easter Bunny writes just like you!" I just laughed it off and said, "Really??? WOW!" n Those are such special memories.
Merry Christmas Renee.

My parents used to leave crumbs too!

I never thought to leave food for the reindeers too!...gosh, now I feel bad, I hope they didn't go hungary all those years! ;)

I left cookies and milk out one Christmas and forgot to do something with it. The kids woke up and were sure that Santa didn't come, EVEN with all the gifts.

I made up some weirdo story about him being full from all the other houses, that he just couldn't eat ours. They believed it but I think I better be more careful, lol!

Aw...that makes me remember the Christmas that I got a type writer (I think I was six or seven) and "Santa" left a note typed for me. It gave me the biggest tickle out of everything else that entire holiday! :)

Christmas Eve is filled with all sorts of traditions. Reindeer food is tossed out. Cookies and milk are left out (and "Santa" always leaves a drop of milk and some crumbs behind.) "Santa" also leaves snowy foot prints behind that magically turn to powder. These years with my kids are so much fun...I hope that they believe in Santa until they're in high school. *chuckle*
