The highpoint of my day . .

okay, maybe the highpoint of my week. The month . . the year?
When I picked John M. up yesterday from the babysitter's, he reached his little chubby arms up to me, as he does most days. When I scooped him up, he wrapped said arms around my neck, touched me ever so gently with his fat little baby fingers on my neck. And then leaned his little golden head against mine. For about 3 or 4 seconds. A hug! Initiated by him! I melted right there. He could have done absolutely anything right then and gotten away with it.

He's a little hurricane, a troublemaker, he breaks all of my things, and he's spoiled beyond belief. But, he's a keeper. He SO has me wrapped.

That is so sweet! I am looking forward to the day when mine will do that. Right now, they smile more for their daddy than for me and I'm soooo jealous. Oh well!

Mommies and sons - a bond unlike no other. He will love you with a deep loyal love that cannot be tarnished. I've seen it with Alfred and Maw Maw Co, and with June and Maw Maw Jean. You have so much to look forward to.

oh, how very sweet! My little 7 month old gave me a kiss the other day upon request! Nice and opened mouth, got slobber all over me, but I melted!

This is the greatest age. Enjoy it and cherish it and by all means record ever second you can. I sit around sometimes and look at the tapes of my children and cry thinking about the adults they are becoming. Next fall my son leaves for college. Then 2 years until my daughter follows. I am feeling the empty nest already. It sneaks up on you.

Hi, found my way here thru momyblogr.

The best thing in the world are hugs and kisses from our kids. Your kids are beautiful by the way.
