Say It Ain't So

I've mentioned before that our oldest, Anna, is a carbon-copy superclone of Mark. Looks, personality, taste in food, everything, she's a mini-Mark, only without a penis.

Emma, on the other hand, looks nothing like Mark, but is totally evolving into a clone of my mom.

I was trying to close one eye, stand about a half-mile away and wiggle my nose, and think that maybe John M. looked a little like me. Imagine that, my child actually looking like ME, the one who housed his little body for 9 months and went through the pain of birthing him! But, alas, I found this picture of Mark,
and my hopes went down the drain. Another Mark-clone, only this time, the penis is in tact.

Just so not fair.

I've been reading your blog everyday...I like the way your 'comments button' says your blog buddies say things that make your day.

I noticed no one had made your day today and I thought I would at least leave a message that let you know I was here and someone is paying attention!!

Well, if they don't look like you, they are probably going to be SWEET and SMART like you! But just wait, they don't look exactly like they will when fully grown yet! ;-)

I know just how you feel (sort of..cause I only have one child but)
My son resembles me in no way at all.
I have very dark hair and eyes and dark complected skin, my son...blonde, blue eyes and fair skinned....yep, a spittin' image of his daddy!

some folks just have stronger genes, Renee. At least they're all cute kids, right? : )

Well, you know my kids - I was only the incubator. My son doesn't even look like he came from my gene pool.

LOLOLOL....
awwww. He is darn cute tho. You gotta admit that.
Like the new look. :)
I, on the otherhand, PRAYED that my kids would be exactly like the patriarchal side of the family---ALL my Sis's-in-law have these little tiny bodies, and have no problem staying fit and trim. I wanted all my girls to have that DNA. Unfortunately so far only 2 seem to favor their side of the gene pool.
*sigh*

My child is so mini-my husband, it's unbelievable. And laughable when someone whose never met my husband says she looks like me!

I'm really looking forward to figuring out exactly who my girls look like. They're both such a combination that it's hard to tell. I think it's neat that your kids have turned out to be such carbon copies of your husband and mother, but I can understand wanting to see some of yourself in them too.

That's funny. Everyone is always talking about how my kids look a lot like my sister. If I hadn't gone through giving birth to them, I'd question whether she was their mother too.

Then, when my sister had her son, people started saying that he looked like...me! So, I felt a little bit of redemption in that. LOL!

heehe Yes, another Daddy-clone it looks like! ha!! :) I know how you feel! Look at Lil' Tad! He's hubby junior for sure!! Maybe Baby #2 (whenever that happens!) will be a Baby Froggie Mama look-alike! *crossing fingers*

Have a great weekend!! ♥

I'm with you. My girl looks just like my husband. My boy looks a little more like me, but not much. Not fair! Who did all the work here? Harumph.

Can I just tell you.. I LOVE , your pictures.

AH, so beautiful, but you know what?

I can still see you in him.

Look at the eyes and brows.

You have a very striking family.

(no matter who they look like!)

I too am only the mere host for my hubby's clones! We walk into a room and everybody yells, "Boy you can tell who their dad is!" Like I had nothing to do with it.

My boys look like their daddy and uncle. I can see a little bit of me in there but not much. Oh well...

Children start out looking more like their fathers and gradually look more like their mothers as they age.. I actually watched some sort of documentary about that. So there's still time!

I actually saw a resemblance in myself and Kaleb last night while staring in the mirror at our reflections. Maybe it will stay that way for a while...maybe not.

I still think Emma looks a lot like you, Renee!
