A few pictures for you:
The reason for the trip was a 'Cattle Bulletin Board' picnic. Mark has become friends with other 'cattle' people from around the country and one from a little place called Gallatin, TN hosted the picnic. They lived on a true farm, complete with cows, horses, chickens, peacocks, goats, and a pig!
Mark had some crawfish shipped there from home and everyone had a great time eating mudbugs.
The next day, we went to see 'Dead Elvis' and he was indeed dead. Sorry to disappoint. I hadn't been to Graceland in about 25 years and it sure has grown! The whole tour is automated, with headsets for everyone. I took a picture of the back of Graceland because that just doesn't get much publicity, does it?
I can't get this damn blogger thing to import anymore pictures . . so my vacation post will continue tomorrow....

good times girl...glad you had fun....i am glad to know for sure now that elvis is dead...i will DEFINITLY sleep better tonight knowing that the elvis case is closed and he has kicked the bucket. bwhahahhahaha
So glad you had a wonderful trip. Tennessee is a great state, huh? Man, had I known you were having your picnic in Gallatin I would have come up and said "Hi"...you were only 15 minutes east of where I live, lol!

What a great trip! I love Memphis and everyone needs to see the King's digs. I actually grew up about 30 minutes from Gallatin so you were near my hometown. Glad you had a fun trip.

Graceland is kind of odd because we are now used to so much more in the way of luxury -- it's hard to imagine that his house and its furnishings was luxurious, but I guess it was. Can you believe how many people still go there from all over the world? Amazing. It is moving when you get to the end and see the burial plots.
BTW, your kids are going to be as tall as you soon! Also, I think Gallatin is where my stepdad used to work. Small world!

Sounds like a great trip! I love Tennessee - it's amazing - they actually have 4 seasons!! Here in LA we only have 2 - hot and a little less hot! LOL Thanks for sharing the pics!
