Is it time for vacation yet?
It's been almost a week since I posted. Already. The time has been flying by for me. I can't believe the kids are already almost 3 weeks into summer vacation. I'll be shopping for uniforms and school supplies before you know it. I actually bought the first of their school supplies today; I'm trying to break up the expense by getting a few things here and there. Aren't I the planner?
Anna's softball team won the championship for their league and she's now on the All-Star team. Mark's the coach for that team too so he and Anna will be busy for a little while longer. Emma started playing ball last week and her team participated in a tournament and won first place! We're on a roll here. (I took first place in baking in the hot Louisiana sun and sweating like a sow.
You should see my medal.)
I have lots of pictures to post (and even a video of John grooving!) but I can't get my damn camera to upload the photos. I'll work on it more tonight, if I get the chance.
And Father's Day so snuck up on me. Shouldn't that be pushed back 'til July? Who do we talk to about that?
Oh, one last thing. I have a new best friend. Her name is Chick FilA. She satisfies me so.

How exciting for Emma and Anna!! Good for them!
The medal you got sounds JUST like the one I would get!
I know what you mean about Dad's day. I have no clue what I'm doing for ANY of the dad's in my life (husband, dad, father-in-law) and I am leaving for the weekend on Thursday....Hmmm? I think I'm in trouble!
Summer is a busy time, no doubt. And seeing Chik-Fil-A again was one of the best things about moving here. I LOOOOOOOOOOOVE her.
oh here and I thought we were bestest friends.....gosh golly darnnit all to heck....
I too, do the school supplies thing early. On July 1st we go and layaway everything they need. Then when we get them out of layaway, on August 15th or so...it's like a big surprise...cause they've forgotten what they laid away...its stupid, but we enjoy it.
luckily i have until next august before i have to worry about school supplies.
Chick-Fil_a has been my best friend for quite sometime and the scale shows it...eat mo chikin...hehehe
i agree about father's day..damn it being so close to my birthday...it's my week..yea i get the whole week for my birthday...hehehe
I too love Chick-fil-A - their chicken is the best, and the waffle fries rock!
I am trying NOT to think about back to school. I'm enjoying the time off while it lasts...
There's a new Chick-fil-A near my office...love it! Oh, and Father's Day totally snuck up on me, too. Yikes.
Chic fil a is a good friend to me AND my kids. All good with Chic fil a. Hmmm. Now I have a plan for dinner tomorrow night!
ok so I have been wanting to ask....how come you started summer holidays already? do they all start so early down south?
my kids are in school till the 29th!!
I can't believe that it's already mid June! Summer hasn't even 'officially' started but it already seems like it is close to being over.
Congrats on the championship, theirs and yours. ;)
Wow, you are such the planner, lol! Yay for everyone on all your first places.
So what did you bake?
I wanna know what you baked that one you first place (or did I miss a post somewhere about that).
I just discovered Chick Fil-A when we went to South Carolina. There aren't any around where I live.
Alright to the girls on the softball achievements.. that is just excellent!!
At this point in my life - time couldn't pass fast enough to please me.
The Chick FilA thing caught me off guard and I almost spit Dr. Pepper on my computer.
ok I am lost what is a Chick FilA??
and to answer you reply on my blog to my question on your blog..:-)...
they start the first Tuesday after Labor day weekend in Sept and stay in till the last week of June. We get 2 weeks of for Christmas and 1-2 weeks for Spring Break depending on what district you are in (or private school they have different dates) and a whole bunch of Pro-D Days in between.
School supplies and uniforms, blah! I keep saying that I'm going to buy in advance, but time is slipping away.
GIve me a holler next time you go to chick fil a - it's not that far from me.
You planner, you. Oh, and stay away from that Chick FilA -- she's trouble!
