Renee's weird - now there's a NEWSFLASH!

I've been tagged by Trina for weird facts about myself. Gee, that should be quite a list. Let's see what I can come up with.

1.) I have a huge fear of going blind. It's one of the worst things I can imagine. Hand in hand with that, I'm insanely scared of the dark. I panic when the electricity goes off at night and everything goes black. I have a mini-panic attack. So I try to keep a flashlight in close vicinity to the bed, so I can just switch it on.

2.) I love to tie knots in things, strings, thread, my hair whatever. I love to make a little knot bigger and bigger 'til it can't be tied anymore. I've had to pull pieces of hair out because of this.

3.) I love a bargain . . anytime, anywhere. I love garage sales, yard sales, flea markets, whatever. It's almost impossible for me to NOT stop at one when I pass by. Another person's junk is always my treasure!

4.) I'm neurotic about, how should I say this? , where I perform #2. This has actually been discussed on my blog before.

5.) I HATE Easter grass, anytime, anywhere. Hate, hate, hate it. I guess this isn't so weird, we probably all hate it!

6.) I love peeling layers of sunburned skin off of myself, and other people. I haven't done this often, what with all the attention to skin care and actually protecting yourself from the sun these days. But I remember doing this as a kid and having the best time.

Weird? Yes, I am.

I need to hear more weirdness. I'll tag Tara, my favorite Canadian, Dani, and my fellow Kenny lover, Chesneygirl.

Re #6 - have you seen Goldmember? That ought to cure the skin-peeling fascination. ;-)

That green celephane Easter grass is gross. I got some great green paper grass and few years ago and I keep reusing it.

Can't stand that celephane stuff either!

Hey Renee,

I followed the bread crumbs over from Chesney Girl's blog. We seem to have a ton in common. I just wanted to say HI and I look forward to reading more.

Oh, yes, I am totally with you re: #6. I don't get a chance to do it anymore, and I suppose the fact that I used to do it a lot is a sign that I'll be developing skin cancer some day.

I hate Easter grass, too. Who invented that stuff? It is awful!

I'm with you on the bargains! I love Big Lots. And peeling sunburned skin...it's addictive! I've done that quite a few times to the hubby's shoulders.

I had a friend who liked peeling burnt skin and scabs. Ick! What's worse is that I let him peel a large scab off of my arm once and now I have a big scar.

Anyhoo, I do the tying knots thing too. On the belts to my bathrobes, straw papers, Easter grass...LOL!

Sorry I am late Renee, havent been on much in the last few days. Loved the list, I can so relate to the EASTER grass, hate that stuff. I have never heard of the tying your hair in a knot though, that's funny.

Weird, ummm? Not. When compared to other family members, you're a pearl among mixed nuts. I had no idea you were afraid of the dark and going blind. Someone I know is afraid of water getting into their head-holes. Crazzzzzy.

I love these things because this is where I realize I'm not as weird as I think I am.

3, 4 (especially), 5, and 6 could be me.

Okay, #2 is pretty weird, but I wholeheartedly support #6! Luckily, I haven't done this much lately, either.

And cute Easter pic of your little guy! I love how he has his hand on the handle of his pail. He's not letting go of his treasure!

Ewwwww on #6. And yet....I understand.

Ack! First I fall behind on my reading, only to come back to see my name in lights. Hooray!

Then I type in a huge comment, whereby I tell you that you are not nearly as weird as you think you are, as we have three items in common and my husband shares a fourth - but I'm leaving in up to you to wonder which ones -- and blogger eats the comment. I'm now trying again... and I accept this meme gauntlet!!

(PS I'm ridiculously proud to be your favourite Canadian. You are my favourite Coon-Ass, even if I never heard of one before I met you!!)
