I've invented a new word, one that fits me lately:
Slog - A blog slacker. I have good intentions to blog, but am too lazy or time-pressed to do it.
I figured I'd give it one more shot before the new year.
I've been doing lots of gift-wrapping, last minute shopping, and cleaning up.
Mark has accepted a new job IN OUR HOME TOWN! Not in New Orleans, 90 miles away anymore. But 10 MINUTES AWAY! Can I say I'm thrilled?! It's WAY less money, but we're going to try and work it out. Okay, that's enough CAPS and exclamations.
Anyway, yet another new beginning that I hope is a good one. He starts at the beginning of the year (next week?).
So for the next few days, we'll be wrapped up in Christmas festivities, lots of stuffing our faces and lots of trying to cram new gift items into every nook and cranny of our already crowded house.
I hope everyone out there has a good holiday and I'll catch y'all later. Maybe in 2008?
Now, back to our regularly scheduled Slogmas.

Congratulations to Mark on his new job. Trust me, losing the stress of all that commuting will more than make up for a change in salary. My husband worked in NYC when we first moved out here. We live about 40 minutes from the city, on a good day. But if the railroad had problems, you could get stuck for hours. Never mind driving in the city--you'd be nuts, although thousands do it daily. Let me tell you, within a year I saw 10 years fall off of him. No more commuting stress! I bet you'll see the same in your husband, too.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Congratulations to you on Mark's new job! I hope you can rest easy now. Merry Christmas, my friend ;-)
Merry Christmas Renee! Enjoyed our leisurely lunch the other day. It was nice not to have to rush back to work for a change. Would love to do it again soon!
Merry Christmas!!
Woo hoo Renee! That sounds like the best present ever!
Have a wonderful holiday home with your family. :)
ohh! I'm a slogger! I love it!
Merry Slogmas to you! (And I've learned it's ok to be a slogger. I'm working on a new site just for this. I'll share with you soon. Especially you!)
Muwha!
are you kidding?! Anyone who finds time to blog NOW is type-A and maybe really bored. (no offense to the type-As or bored people out there). Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and we'll catch up to ya'll later! Me? I'm going to have some cocoa.
Merry Christmas to you! Congrats on the new job move for your husband. It makes such a difference when they work closer, john commuted a 2 hour commute for 3 months, it was horrible, now he is 10 minutes away, much better.
Merry Christmas to you and yours!
Hugs
I've become a permanent "slogger".
That is so great about Mark's job!
I commuted 60 minutes one way for 13 years. I didn't think it was a big deal after doing it so long. Now I have a 4 minute commute and I'm LOVING it!!!
I hope Santa was good to you! :)
Love your new made up word. It could also mean a blog stalker, which is what I do and then don't leave a comment. So, her's a comment so you know someone stumbled in to your blog and thought it was cute.
