Shouldn't I be Governor or something?

Our new Governor-elect Bobby Jindal is just 36 years old. On Sunday, I'll be 38. I'm older than the Governor. If that doesn't make me feel pre-historic, I'm not sure what does.

That's just the way it goes right? You live long enough and you're older than everyone. Your doctor, your boss, your governor, everyone.

This has been the quietest birthday I can remember ever. I haven't talked or thought about it much. I had to catch myself just now to remember to blog about it. I keep forgetting it's coming up. My 20-year high school reunion is tomorrow and I can't decide if I want to go. Maybe that's overshadowing my bday too.

What I'd like is a quiet day outside with my family because the weather here has been beautiful. I'm thinking about having a nice lunch out somewhere and then maybe going here with my family. I haven't been in years and I think John M. would like it.

Hope everyone has a great weekend! I'll just be down here getting older. ;^)

Oh I can completely relate!
I work with 18 people and I am older than 15 of them. AND my doctor recently retired... his replacement?... SAME age as I am.
Now THAT is weird!! My doctors have always been way older than me!

I didn't forget it was your birthday! ;)

Whatever you decide to do to celebrate, have a terrific day!
I'll be thinking of you on Sunday! :) Happy Birthday!!

Happy Birthday!

It just doesn't seem right that people younger than us have positions of authority of any kind. If I'm not yet a grown-up, surely those younger than me are not yet, either.

Just imagine being "two days older than dirt"..........that's what my kids always said when they were growing up, LOL! Now, Naive just turned 39 on the 18th....when did I become old enough to have a 39 year old child?!!!

That's what it's like getting older, we stay the same and everyone gets younger! When I was little, the doctor, the police, the President and politicians were all old men, now they're little kids! I haven't changed any, looking in the mirror every day, but everyone else is getting younger!

I feel the same way all the time. There will be a mayor, or a college coach, or a CEO of a company YOUNGER than me and I'll think, "When did I get so old?" lol

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

(and, oh yeah, ROLL TIDE!!! ha!)

Getting older is whacked. YOu change on the outside but the inside remains young. for me I will always be 24!!

Happy Birthday (this weekend!)!! Do you like this new guy? I drive back and forth to NO and Laf. so listen to the radio there. Everyone says he is going to come in and "do it different" but do you believe that?

Have a great weekend!
