on a little lake about 45 minutes away from where we live. It was really pretty and quiet and nice. Except for all the complaining. From 2 girls who live with me. And all the caught up lines. In trees. On roots. On the bottom of the lake. See that look on Anna's face in the picture above? That look was maintained for much of the boat ride.
Emma was the only one to catch one little fish, that Mark likes to call a 'fotknocker'.
The boy liked it. When Mark let go of his Spongebob fishing pole so that he could use it himself. ;^)
I put my white leg picture in there for a reason. It's going to be my 'before' picture and at the end of the summer, I hope to be one tan mama!

hehe ... I got a good chuckle out of Anna's obvious enjoyment of the outdoors. Too funny!
My dh loves! to fish. He also lives to fish. Gets old sometimes.
glad ya'll had a great time....that pic of her is funny...that is scrappin material!!
As grouchy as they act, they'll remember it fondly later. We took my 3yo crabbing recently. He is the most particular child I've ever met. He flipped out when he got pluff mud on his hands, poor kid, he's just like his daddy.
PS Nice blog, I wandered over here via Busymom
Love the look of total 'boredom' on Anna's face. I'm sure her future boyfriends will love seeing that photo. Glad you all had a good time...
Any croc's in that body of water?
No fair making your "before" picture a picture of you in the SHADE! No fair! Or, wait. If I can do it, too, then it's fair.
:)
LOL -- If I posted a before pic of my leg and an after pic at the end of the summer, they'd be the same colour. I just cannot tan to save my life.
Too funny! At first when I saw that you had gone fishing as a family, I thought, "Wow. She's a better woman than me. I'd never go fishing with my hubby and kid." Then I saw the rest of your post and thought, "Wow. She's just like me. She thinks fishing is slightly ridiculous, too."
HAHAHAHA
Oh, and your "before" legs? That's probably what my legs look like at the END of the summer. I'm so white I GLOW! LOL
What a wonderful day of good quality family time!!!
