Is it summer yet? Down here, it's been mighty darn close. Temps in the lower 80s and humidity cubed.
Just in time for Emma's latest St. Vincent De Paul's purchase, popsicle molds! The kids each made one, lemonade for Anna, O.J., for John M. and Sunny D. for Emma. They broke them out yesterday and licked them to death.
I can still remember freezing Hawaiian Punch in ice cube trays as a kid, and it was just like heaven. On a stick.
(I realize these popsicles are a little phallic, but hey . . .)
Yes, you would compare your kids' popsicles to penises. Tee hee!!
ReplyDeleteI used to do that too (fill ice cube trays)...except I used Kool-aid. :)
ReplyDelete80 DEGREES??? That is SO not fair!!
i don't care what they resemble... they look like summer to me!!! YAY!
ReplyDeleteHuh. Your kids are eating popsicles and I just asked my husband to turn up the heat. LOL!
ReplyDeleteHow I envy your nice weather....please send some this way.....it's warmer here now and the snow has melted but the temp today is on 51ยบ and rainy and cloudy......we are in desperate need of summer or even more spring-like weather.
ReplyDeleteI used to freeze popsicles for my kids when they were small too....they loved them!
Hugs
i loved doing that as a kid...thanks for the memories
ReplyDeleteIt's summer here too!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE summer!
The hotter the better!
we were eating some frozen juice bars yesterday here too. freaking 80s in march? yuck.
ReplyDeleteand i need to make some homemade popcicles. those things are expensive!
I so remember eating ice cube popsicles!! Of course what made eating those more of a challenge was the fact that we used toothpicks for the sticks! Nothing like eating a melted chunk of ice on a little toothpick! LOL!!
ReplyDelete:)
Homemade popsicles are the best! Yummy!
ReplyDeleteI love them! LOVE THEM! We make our own too, all the time, and it is great, great fun and the kids adore it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great picture!
Lord - I never would have thought the phallic thing had you not said it. DAMMIT.
ReplyDeleteI totally loved homemade popsicles. Faith is on such a kick, we have ten different kinds in our fridge, and I'm sorry - they all SUCK!!! I thought we found Dr. Pepper popsicles.. but we got them home and they were DIET DR. PEPPER?? WTF??
Yes, they are a little THAT, but I agree they were heaven just the same.
ReplyDeleteGreat picture.
They look like they are having so much fun!!! I read your blog all day long yesterday. We really do have so much in common. I have a sister who is 10 months older than me. We are very, very close and see each other once a week. We talk every single day, she has 2 kids too a boy and a girl (like me).
